A shake of my head

Hey readers, sorry for not posting yesterday, but like the name says, it's a Semi-Daily Pickle.

So I was in my car this morning listening to the radio when the news comes on. Now, usually I just station surf away from the news when it comes on (I mean come one, I just want some tunes to wake me up), but today i actually stayed and listened for awhile. The first story I heard was about a man who had gone over to his ex-girlfriend's mother's house saying he needed to use the restroom (why she believed that I have no clue). As he comes out of the restroom he shoves her on a folded out couch bed and proceeds to fold her into it. Where does someone even get the idea to do this to a 65 year old woman? As I continued listening it mentioned that he was charged with 'battery of a person over 65'. That raised a question in my mind. Why did they have to add over 65 in the charges? Are the charges different if the person is over 65? Is it somehow more acceptable if they're older? Turns out it's quite the opposite, Senior citizens and toddlers are actually on the protected persons list and the penalty is much more severe.

Now the second news story I heard was about a 2 year old boy who had wandered out into traffic on a busy street. Want to know what the boy's mother was doing? She was attending a 'Better Parenting' class.....irony anyone? Of course, there was someone watching him, but they were off getting food and the boy was left by himself.

Wrapping up I would like to pose a question to any readers out there (if I have any), what is your opinion on setting up a no fly zone in Libya? Post in the comments and let me know what you think.
